Got an idea for a business, but need to meet the right people to make it happen? Then join the Founders Forum this Tuesday evening for a great time of networking and dining at the Crowne Plaza Melbourne Oceanfront from 6pm to 9pm.
This group was started in 1986 and has a formula for success that has worked for many local upstart businesses. Every year since 1997 an individual is chosen for the "Entrepreneur of the Year" award in September.
On Tuesday May 15th the next meeting is planned with business leaders and venture capitalists looking for the next great Brevard County start-up. In addition to the best networking of its kind in the Space Coast there will be speakers on topics sure to bring out a business-connected crowd.
Current Chairperson Julie Song said, "In addition to our insightful speaker, Tony Moreno, who will give a presentation entitled 'Success'ion Planning: Objectives & Options" we will highlight the scholarship program for the Junior Achievement Youth Summer Entrepreneurship Camp. This is the second year Founders Forum has provided funds to assist young people in the cost of the camp. The scholarship awardees are invited to attend the Entrepreneur of the Year Award ceremony this September, and this will give them even greater visibility within our business community. We did this last year and the students addressed the audience and highlighted their camp experience."
This is the last public meeting for this season and after the Founders Forum retreat this summer comes the selection for the much coveted award for the most enterprising entrepreneur- The Entrepreneur of the Year.
